Rodrigo Castro

Rodrigo Castro is the co-founder and president of Adaptive Pallet Solutions (APS). APS is built on a simple thesis: the pallet is the last uninstrumented asset in the supply chain, and making it intelligent turns the most overlooked object in logistics into one of its most valuable data sources. APS leases smart plastic pallets embedded with IoT sensors that report location, condition, and handling in real time. Rodrigo leads product, technology, and business development.

Rodrigo saw that opportunity precisely because he did not come from the warehouse floor. He is also co-founder and managing partner of 912 Capital Partners, a Philadelphia-based private equity firm backing companies exposed to secular growth themes including American manufacturing, electrification, and digital infrastructure. It was that investor's lens, looking for assets the market has mispriced or ignored, that led him to see a data business hiding inside a piece of shipping equipment everyone else took for granted.

Before founding 912, Rodrigo was an investor at LL Funds, a Philadelphia growth equity firm, where he focused on technology and specialty finance and helped founders scale their businesses. He began his career in investment banking at Ambassadors Financial Group (acquired by PNC Capital Markets), advising financial institutions on M&A, equity financings, and debt capital raises. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and German from Amherst College.

He is building APS to do for the pallet what the last generation of technology did for the truck and the container: make it visible, accountable, and finally a source of truth.
